What king of staff it is?

Article about: I am quite puzzled of what kind that item might be?

Hello Alex....In any kind of hobby of interest ...after years of experience will know the difference between what is good and what is not.
Coins, stamps, old silverware , car parts etc..

The same goes for Militaria collectables. Never judge a book by its cover needs to open it and read it to see what it says.

The color of the grip and that little dimple seen on the lower part of the grip already reads that its not period produced material.
There is much to be gained here as Gerrit has pointed out in the many threads in this Kriegmarine sub forum.
Consider this forum a giant library have to walk in and pull a book off the shelf.

    Regards Larry
