Odd Kaiserliche Marine Buckle

Good day
Here is a small Kaiserliche Marine Buckle in brass. Pictured beside a normal buckle for size comparison.
It is not for a brocade belt (is it?) so what is it for? I can't find a similar example so guess it is a fake or perhaps made for a child! Looks like an officer's buckle badge rather badly soldered onto small carrier.

A very interesting small buckle that I know nothing about or have ever seen. Perhaps some members that have info on such a buckle will respond

Strange buckle and I must admit never seen one like it!

Apparently a modern buckle with, possibly, an officer's buckle badge welded onto it. As I suspected.
