! 60€ War Merit Cross, 2nd Class - Fake???!

Hi Guys. I spent 60 Euros to buy a War Merit Cross, 2nd Class by a guy who was selling coins, medals, soviet pins e.t.c.

I read that there are many fake german medals and in fact, the war merit cross I bought doesn't seem to be 65 years old.
Moreover there are some details that make me very suspicious.
So, can YOU help me?

I don't know, but it looks pretty good to me.
I have a few kvk2s that look pretty clean that are original.
What are some details that concern you?

This looks acceptable to me IMO
I am no expert, but these awards were hand finished and depending on the maker ( everyone and their brother made them) quality control may not have been a priority as there were millions issued and even more were made. I have some kvk2s with maker marks that could have been finished a little better.
The 1st class crosses are really the ones you need to look out for in the way of fakes.
What you want to look for are the file marks from the hand filing and don't worry so much about a little extra material that wasn't filed completely away and keep focused on the sharpness of the detail as the reproductions will typically have very soft detail.
To my knowledge they are reproduced for reenactors, but are easily distinguished as such and will look much differant than the originals.
