I took a four hour one day bus trip there from Riga so only had a few hours to spend. We did the tourist sight seeing thing.
I noticed there was a Holocaust Museum in Vilnius but didn't have time as we had to get the bus back

Out of interest how was the German occupation portrayed. Was there any mention of the Germans initially being seen as liberators or the volunteer SS and Wehrmacht units.

There a couple of good books about the 3 Baltic States in WW2 , one is Between Giants by Prit Buttar and the other is Bloodlands by Timothy Snydor

I concur with Paul regarding Bloodlands, a very good if somewhat depressing book.
Great pictures! The side by side pictures were particularly well done.
