    Nice buckle. Here is my example which has a leather tab, and the maker is a leather maker and not a buckle maker. Still unknown info on this very early Luftwaffe buckle.

    I never noticed some were pebbled on the rear. Here is a mint one with a smooth reverse.

    Shown are buckles by two separate manufacturers.

    The design of the eagle and swastika is different, as is the style of the crank catch and also the shape of the box ears, to name just three.

    Thanks for posting the comparison photos. I believe the maker on my buckle is still unknown. I have another one with the pebbling.
