Flat Back Luftwaffe

Hi all, another buckle for the database. This is a flat back Luftwaffe buckle. When I saw this for sale I had to buy as these are quite rare and dont come up for sale that often. It is said that these were made as parade buckles which makes sense from the make up of them and I would imagine they are not that robust with that catch. I dont think we have any or a few examples of these on the forum so if you have any please post them.. Not sure of maker but I would hazard a guess at Assmann or Overhoff. Does anyone actually know or have a Lufte buckle with the same eagle?

Yes indeed! I have also one of theese in the collec!

Very nice buckles guys!

If I remember right I have seen once a patent specification with exactly this construction. But it was not one of the big known makers. Will try to find it.

yes thats very intresting ! Ones i have seen a SA buckle with the same setup on backside with DRP or DRGM stamp in it ............
