Luftwaffen Buckle

Hello guys,
I was able to add this privately purchased air force buckle to the collection...
It should have been made by Overhoff. The box is made of aluminum and the rondel is made of zinc...
I always find these pieces very interesting because of the different materials.

Strange buckle, zinc roundel, not typical Overhoff prongs, very nice indeed

Does it look like a put together? Look at the fixing tabs see if they are loose

The tabs are tight Ben, the rondel lies well on the box...Addition..
So far I know of 2 of these buckles in the combination of materials

I have seen several of these combo buckles. I believe they were just using up aluminum when they switched to zinc. They also started painting them silver so would look better.
