    Gwar,
In the last photo you show a comparison of a fake and a original Dr. Franke and just so I am seeing this correctly is the fake buckle marking incised or pressed into the buckle? The original looks like raised lettering which I would expect to be correct. This is besides the fact of the totally different marking layout. Thanks for the heads up. Bob

And I thought the Collectors Guild was a reputable place to shop. The fresh rust & bad markings are sure give aways. Bob

You will find lots of examples of these fakes in the sticky thread on Fake Luftwaffe buckle. Look at the cut on the prongs of the Frankie. I have never had much luck telling dealers about

Fortunately for me and speaking in quite general terms, In recent years I have spent a small fortune at this site acquiring some of the best buckles afforded by David North's collection.. DAF / FAD / RAD.. I have sent Carey a message and if the don't concede then "Buyer Beware" of such a site.. I have also witnessed that they do not take kindly to criticism.. or afford any afterthought sometimes .. G

I didn't notice it was the collectors guild. They have a very good reputation. I would bet he will pull them.
