Appears to be marked on the grip with an American soldiers ASN and initials?
Thanks guys! I’m not familiar with ASNs and assumed it was a German unit as it sort of reminded me of a regimental number with the Roman numerals. No scabbard sadly, but I think I did ok for 50usd. I’m not one to fall for the “blood stains” stories, but that definitely looks like a thumb print on the blade.

Thanks guys! What are the chances of finding a scabbard for it? I like the beat up look as it all look very aged. I have no doubts this thing saw so action, perhaps just to open letters in a wet foxhole, but it looks used!
