Luft 2 Hörster
Hi all,
here is another piece out of estate sale.
Luft 2 by Hörster. The finish looks strange to me.
Could this be one of the post war productions by Hörster in the early 50's?
Hörster reproduced Luft and SA after the war for export esp.for the US.
Otherwise the handle looks like a late war piece, with wooden core.

Postwar from what i can see as i have never seen pebbling inside the recesses of the oafleaves on top of the crossguard and also an over abundance of pebbling on the pommel which is very dramatic.
I have seen some period pommels with pebbling as seen in this photo below.
You will see that the pebbling is more smaller and not clumped together compared to the estate sale find.
The dagger lacks detail and I feel you done very well with the others you posted ...but this one IMO is postwar.

I thought the handle could be '' left over factory stock ''. But it doesn't matter, these thing sells also for a few bucks overhere.
