I agree with Rich, it's an F.

Ralph,
Thank you.

I see an f too.
I was looking at lower case (handwritten) letters. I do agree with the F.
Non-matching magazines may be the cause of the action staying open. You can try a different magazine from the era and it may work properly. If this is a matching mag so be it, I’m sure you will not use it regularly.
Nice looking pistol. Are there no waffenamt stamps?

F for me. And great looking pistol!
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Yes, that’s it. Pistol looks right to my limited experience with them. The only thing left is to get details you are seeking. Great score! A couple mags and a holster and you have an heirloom.

Thanks, Green!’
I am on the lookout as we speak for a hard case holster with tool holder slot. (I have a tool) I also would like an xtra magazine. I found my pistol is missing the internal latch that holds the bolt back when the magazine is empty. A strange dilemma. Anyone know where I can get one.? Sad it isn’t in place.
