My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Thank you, Map. Once again this forum is a top shelf tool for sharing and teaching.
I look forward to any and all information!!!
upon breakdown, the hold open latch is missing. My research found many to be missing on Luger purchases. Does anyone have operational knowledge suggesting soldiers took them out for some reason?? Head scratcher.
+1 for F suffix! Lovely pistol!
Very nice Mauser Luger. It appears all original. The F letter is the 6th time that number was used. The Germans would go through the Alphabet for letters as they used SR#'s A,b,c, etc. As far as the hold open. It could be a number of things. That is not that important as to the function if you remember how many round you have fired. I have been collecting Lugers for 40 years and I don't shoot any of my Lugers anymore. If I can help you with my limited knowledge, please message me.
Thanks,
John
I specialize in M1 carbines and Lugers.
Same as others i believe this is a hand written f letter , used by Mauser, they didnt used sutterlin letters, as they are different even the f is very similar.
