It's an Imperial Army pistol manufactured in 1918. It survived the war and was subsequently turned back over to the Weimar government and stamped with the "1920" Weimar property stamp. During the Weimar period it was put into police service which is when the sear safety was added. As is evidenced by the Police unit mark on the grip strap, it was issued to the Schutzpolizei Kassel. S.C.II.5.R.etc indicates Schutzpolizei Kassel, Second Centurian. The barrel is mismatched and Nazi proofed. The original barrel was probably replaced after WWII.
