Opinions on Luger

Hi guys, just wanted your thougts on this Luger, pics not very good but more to come, described as P08 Black Widow with Black Plastic Grips, used by SS, made by BYF Mauser dated 1941, Excellent Condition with full matching numbers. Any opinion please?

Ben, As you stated the picts., are not much to judge by.. but Black Widows, are a very desireable Luger...The name Black Widow was a slick name invented by an SLICK American Luger dealer and has no credance at all.. As the story that they were used only by the SS, no truth here either.. They were used by all branches of the German Military... If it is all matching and not reblued go for it as they are one of the most sought after Lugers...BILL

Hi Ben,
When I look at byf41's with black plastic grips(avoiding "black widow").I also pay close attention to the condition of the grips,the grips are a highlight of the gun.Sharp checkering and few if no flat spots.No cracks.Most collectors would want a black plastic bottom fxo mag to round out the package.I wish you good hunting.
