IMO, That is the wrong ribbon.
As far as I know, the BMVO was always on a blue / white ribbon.

Well... the Austrian medal ribbon is not excessively common.

Anyway, I would buy a replacement ribbon, because what you have now is what I call a "Frankensteinmedal". So with the correct medal and ribbon and the original case you have an excellent piece.

You have a fairly scarce BMVO4mdK, a peacetime award with the fairly rare case. Check for hallmarks on the back of the suspension for a GH mark, and check the flames between the arms of the cross to see if they are individually attached, as this would indicate an upgraded version of the order from 1905. The ribbon should be white with blue edges.
