Good evening!
Again, we would like to share your knowledge with us.
Is the EK in the photo real? Is it a fake?
Is it a fake simply because it is not in my material...?
I believe it is a fake.
Thank you in advance.

I think it is real but larger pictures would really help.

Live to ride -- Ride to live
I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
The image was not taken by me, and I could not have been more wrong.
I have provided front, back, side, and oblique shots, plus the clasp (receiver), engraving, and the orientation I would like to use when determining authenticity.
My apologies, and thanks for your comments.
I was just wondering, when you say "I think it is authentic", do you mean that it is an example of a common government-issued or custom-ordered item?
I only see the front and rear images.
As I said, I believe this cross to be authentic. I think that it was made by the firm of
Wagner & Sohn. It is a standard awarded cross.
In the reverse picture, you can see the recessed box that would have
the "WS" makers mark. (yellow circle).
Bigger pictures would help to confirm this.
I've added a picture of the "WS" mark from my own Wagner made cross.

I agree with Greg, my first impression is genuine award piece.
