    Hi all,

One from my travels today and a nice addition to my 2 other EK2s.

This one appears to be maker stamped with a K, believed to be W. Kludge & co. Although it has been repaired at some point in it's history.
The core on this example is magnetic.

I'm also unsure of the originality of the ribbon however it does seem old and the price easily reflected the repair and possible replaced ribbon.
I've included a couple of photos of the repair. Also a photo of it in-between my two others for a size comparison.

Hope you all enjoy this example,
    Matt

I like the cross. IMO the repair gives it some added character.
The ribbon looks to be a new replacement.

I can not help much with identification as I do not have any "K" marked crosses
in my files. I might suggest that it could also be a "R" for Alfred Rosner.

Here is a picture of one from my files. It has a different core but a similar mark.
( R marked crosses can be found with different cores)

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for your reply. I didn't think it could be an R, initially when I picked it up I missed the makers mark and thought it was unmarked until I got it home.
I did believe the ribbon to be a replacement and got it for a really fair price. I agree that the repair gives the cross some added character.

I really like this cross and the repair, as Greg says just makes it that little bit more special. For me anyway.

With regards to the cross itself I'm unable at this time to be certain. I have 3 K marked crosses in my collection and have posted them here.

I also have a cross marked R but again this is not a match either.

With different cores for both K and R crosses this could be a challenge to nail down.

Hope you don't mind my also adding the marks of the crosses I have

Wish I could help more. I will look again when I have a bit more time, if I come up with anything new I'll post here.

Hi Matt, very nice photos, I'll have a better look when I can over the next few days. Working nights this week so sleeping a lot.
