Hi Greg, thanks for the info. I didn't realise it was a Zimmerman, Cheers.
Hi Greg, thanks for the info. I didn't realise it was a Zimmerman, Cheers.
Just got back from the OVM collectors show and grabbed some things including a nice cross. It is not marked it only has the silver content mark so I assume it is 20s or 30s. Also this is probably a dumb question but what is the difference in the ribbon length? The ribbon bars I just got today in the mail. I figured I would see what the opinion was on them.
That's a perfectly good 2nd class cross you have there. It could
be from the 20's and 30's but it could also be war time. Being
marked for silver content would make me think that it was more likely
than not, a private purchase cross and not awarded but it could still
be war time. BTW, the length of the ribbon has no meaning what so ever.

Thank you chopperman I was thinking maybe the ribbon length meant it could be mounted differently on a medal bar

It's been a slow collecting season for me. This is only my second
purchase this year.
Nothing special at all, a pair of Ek2. One Godet marked and one Wilm.
I felt it was about time I contribute to my own thread.

Sounds bad mate. I hope nothing serious is going on.
