Not quite.
With almost four million 2nd class crosses being awarded, it would be impossible for one maker
to supply them all. It's safe to assume that many makers crosses were awarded pieces however
I have read that it is thought that all "KO" crosses were awarded.
So if you want to have a true veteran cross in your collection, a "KO" is the one to get.
Good morning everyone. Well I have one EKI and one EKII made by KO. But since this maker is the most common to find I'm always looking for other makers. And often their marks are unknown and can't be identified. That is a prob to me but at least they are more rare pieces.

This thread has been pretty slow lately so I thought I might add my newest find.
A unmarked "Fr" Ek2 with a Ziemer & Sohn spange attached.
Very nice chopper. I need to get one for my collection too

I finally got this one "home" and the ribbon has me puzzled. Is there a reason for it being in this configuration or just a personal preference by the wearer?

Re: Imperial Eks
Anton,
I posted your question on another forum (as I had no clue).
The answer I got was that ribbons folded this was replicate the look of
a Ek2 as it is worn through the tunic button hole.
Makes sense I guess.

Re: Imperial Eks
Thanks Greg, It seems like it was done on purpose and (other than the pin) looks like it had been fixed that way some time ago (even passed the black lite test) and it had me wondering if there was a reason behind it and that one does make sense.

Re: Imperial Eks
EXCELLENT my friend. I have a set like this but without the doc. Yours is 99% complete. You just need a photo of the recipient to make it 100% complete.
Very nice, thanks for sharing.
Congrats

I agree completely. This is a great grouping.
