Hello and welcome to the forum!
An original cross and ribbon. Is there a makers mark on the ring the ribbon passes through?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
what kind of a mark would i be looking for
It will be letters or numbers.
Cheers, Ade.

here is a photo of a mark on the ring
As stated...an original 1914 EK II, it does indeed look to be maker marked, but I can not make it out...have you magnifying glass, so you can see it in hand ? I have added your attachment as a photograph to the post....
Prost ! Steve.
.
Thanks for the additional photograph...definitely a mm, but I still can not make it out, looks to me to either a "Z" = "Zeich" of Berlin, a "H" = "Paul Hossaur" of Berlin or an "N" "Neun" of Rosner, Sachsen. Lets see if other members can see what I can not !
Prost ! Steve.
Nice original cross and ribbon.
I'm not sure who the maker is.
