It is a "bad crown fake" with a ribbon ring from an original S-W 1914 Ek2.

Thanks fot the post Greg, you have to be so careful. I think I'm getting to grips with the Imperial 1914 and TR 1939 EKs but these 1870 EKs I would always check the forum and get a second opinion first.

I must admit I bought one 1870 in the past and unfortunately it was a very convincing reproduction. I too, show restraint with purchasing another until I have at least 10 experts substantiate and vet its authenticity. All kidding aside, I absolutely respect and trust Greg's judgment on having him give me the thumb's up on trying for another. Thank you for sharing!
