Prussian Pilot Badge WW1 - Unmarked - Clique Style

Article about: After a failed attempt to purchase an 1870's EK2 (and thanks to Greg all the help), I stumbled across this. This has been on my wish list for a long time. Very hard to find original examples

Thanks G. Yes, uncommon and hard to find. Has been on my "list" for years. Got lucky with finding this. Seller was great to deal with too.

If I see another I will let you know.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Great looking badge! I recently acquired one that seems to be of the same maker as yours. Mine too looks to have the die flaw in the right arch of the Prussian crown, but to a lesser degree. On the reverse of mine is engraved 1.10.16. Going by the German format for dates, this would be October 1, 1916. Wondering if this was either the date of receiving award or perhaps date of death? Very nice example Ron.

Not sure what the date is but I would assume it was when he earned his "wings"
