A neat little 1870 Ek2 w/ oaks. It's a bit less common from most that
I have seen in that the oakleaf spange is a seperate hanging device
and not solidly attached to the cross.
The cross measures 17.6mm and the oaks measure 11.8 X 8.2mm and
appear to be made of real silver.

Thanks Michael
I've been wanting this one for a few years but the dealer has always had it
at a stupid price. He was supposedly having a 40% going out of business
sale so I figured I had better get it before it was lost.

Thanks Vince, I agree completely.
I think it might have come off a Kettchen. I have seen this type of set-up before
on chains and I've seen only one on a buttonhole device and that one, I was not
to sure about.
I don't care to collect Ketthen as they are really awkward to store and display well.

Hi Greg.
It is a magnificent addition to your collection. I like it a lot.
By the way, the prices of that vendor you speak of (who hasn't gone out of business for now, but they no longer have the 40% discount) regarding ribbon bars, they also have some stupid prices that would be reasonable with 40%. or even a 50% discount on their normal prices.
Thanks, Santi.
If I had realized that he was not really going out of business, I probably
would have not spent the money at this time but now that I have it,
I have no regrets.
