Hi.
Good for me.
Where is the ribbon?
PS. Of course I don't like the superior ring

Although I must admit that with some frequency you see that type of flat ring. And not for that reason they are not authentic.
Nice.
It is on an auction without the ribbon. Thanks
I agree the cross looks good. The flat ring struck me immediately too. I have also seen similar rings including one on a WWII Ostfront Medaille. As Santi says it isn't correct and I cannot explain it but wonder if it was something used by tailors mounting medals for some reason?
I would have thought an auction house would be able to produce photographs of higher resolution.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
Looks good to me, and I have encountered this type of ring on many occasions.
The seller has numerous good quality fakes for sale, so I would proceed with caution.
Thank you for the heads up, was looking forward to your opinion.
I will echo Vince. Numerous fakes and numerous scathing threads across several Forums. This bloke has a seemingly endless supply of Japanese made Schmidt & Sohn fake wound badges. Exercise caution, or possibly avoid altogether!

Brett
