This is just part of a Machine Gunners sleeve patch. It is missing all the backing cloth and steel plate.

    Here is mine for comparison.

Yours is of a different manufacturer than my example. While I'm cautiously optimistic the remnants of yours might be original, these are a minefield and I would need to do a bit of research to confirm if yours is original. But you could do similar by searching the forum for similar examples to compare to.

had a look round like you say mine field ?? not much to go on all look the same .
the thing is that the prongs are different on this , but on all the other seam to be pins , so if they was to copy them they would make them the same ?? and this as age to it that would add to it as a original ???

This is probably the best thread out there. It is 63 pages long. I thought I saw prongs like the one on yours before but could be mistaken as I don't actively study these. Maybe you can find a match.

I reviewed all 32 pages of this thread and found no original examples with this type of fasteners.

There you go! Think that solves it. I could have sworn though I read an article or thread somewhere years ago that showed prongs like this. Guess it's the old memory going for me. LoL

The fakes outnumber originals by a long shot. I have never seen one in
person that I had enough confidence in to buy.

Looks to be a good Falkenburg Richter badge perhaps simplified for manufacturing by incorporating the pins into the overall design.
