WW1 German black wound badge

After looking at dozens of originals I think this is genuine but no maker's marks. What do you think?

I like it but I am not a WB guy so my opinion on these doesn't count.

Judging from the reverse hardware, I'd say a period example.

It is an unmarked L/54, Schauerte & Hohfeld. It's a good badge.

Actually, on closer inspection of your photo # 4, your badge is very lightly marked. You will see this on the rim of the helmet just to the left of the bottom rivet. it would be easier to see if the photo was the right way up!
