    I like it but I am not a WB guy so my opinion on these doesn't count.
    Hopefully someone will be along shortly with more experience with these.

    Judging from the reverse hardware, I'd say a period example.

    I agree, an Original Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz...A nice representative example...

    It is an unmarked L/54, Schauerte & Hohfeld. It's a good badge.

    Actually, on closer inspection of your photo # 4, your badge is very lightly marked. You will see this on the rim of the helmet just to the left of the bottom rivet. it would be easier to see if the photo was the right way up!
