    Hello people...
I've been offered this from a friend in a very good price but since I don't know that much about what to look on wound badges I thought to ask you knowledgeable people! I think it is OK as I trust him but a simple question wouldn't do no harm...

I'm not liking the pebbling , it looks crowded and sloppy.
Fake wound badges are popular on German E-bay etc.
    But wait for other opinions.

I agree with CBH to proceed with caution and much research. While I am certainly no expert on wound badges, I would like to help start a discussion among those who are.

Please refer to the OP by StuG III on 07-25-2011. The dies are not identical, but the styles mimic each other.

I think it is fine. A later Third Reich era production piece than one which is 1918 in date.

Bear in mind there were many makers of these.

Hello Ade! Were they still producing Imperial wound badges at the end of WW2?
Now I'm really confused about it... What should I do?

The badge is a known pattern & can be found with the block hinge like the op's as well as the wide sheet metal hinge.
Stakeside, as Adrian has already said, these badges were available from 1918 to the early 40's so there will be many
variations of the same theme. Both types of hardware shown are acceptable. Lizard, you should buy it. Golds in this
pattern do not show up often.

    Regards
    Brett
