I had a great show. It was a pleasure to see Larry again after a number of years, and to finally meet Michael and Todd. I'm sorry we couldn't chat longer, I have a bad habit of running around shows and not spending much time at my tables. I sold some stuff and bought a lot more. It was one of my better shows in the recent years.
One downside was seeing a friend of mine buying a fake German flag from a "professional " dealer for $400 only to later discover it was fake. I accompanied my friend when he went to return it and the dealer got incredibly nasty and refused to accept a return. For many years OVMS required dealers to accept returns for the duration of the show weekend, but apparently that is no longer the case. The society views sales as a civil issue between buyer and seller and their current policy is to not get involved. So fair warning the next time you attend an OVMS show it's "buyer beware." Attched are photos of the dealer and his business card. He was a nasty so and so and is fully aware that I photographed him and he's fully aware that I don't give a damn what he thinks of my doing so. (And yes, I know I should have a photo of the flag but I didnt even think about that at the time.) Sorry the photo of him is sideways, doing this on my phone.
But, for myself, it was a great show....
All the best,
Todd
I was great finally meeting you too! I think your actions of running around are typical of everyone there...LoL.
Would love to see what you picked up!
Too bad about the bad experience of your friend. Really surprised he would not stand by the items he sold.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
