Really?
War and Peace Show
Hmm,
That needs a bit of explaining before we get too excited. Anyone have any more info/background to this?
Just a banner saying "The War and Peace Show is back" on the front page of the site raises more questions than answers for me.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
Hmmmm. The link takes me to a picture of what looks like the Alps with a notice saying : 'Coming soon. Site will be available soon'.
My excitement is contained............
After so many letdowns over the last few years (not all their fault, of course), I won't believe it until it's set in stone. That said, the show is sorely missed. It deserves another chance, perhaps this time with some competent organisers.
B.B.
The last I heard was a comment on facebook that said 2 Dutch guys were trying to revive the show. Still to be based in England, but not where.
I've just had another look around on line and can find no reference to it at all. I hope this was not some hoaxers idea of funny?
Edit;
Found small detail now but no more than "it's back" with no indication as to location, dates etc.
I intend to be retired by then so it would be a nice retirement celebration for me
Fingers crossed!
