Attachment 239299Attachment 186914I'm sharing here with the WW1 aficionados, what i think is the most incredible find for a couple of years ,in our soil of France.
A member of my french forum digged this stuff last week,in a kind of dump site.
This is not something our eyes are able to see without instantly crying....
And it's only the beginning,he's today back on the place and keep on diggin'!!
    Pics courtesy of Harvest.

I have fallen into one of these so-called "trenches" while metal detecting in Poland. Although I never found any helmets, but I did find an MG42 barrel, but it is nothing compared to this, Amazing find

Thank you for sharing!! Please, MORE PICS!!!

This is amazing on so many levels! For example I remember a thread where we debated if the M18 cut-out helmet was every really used in the field(wasn't it still experimental at this point?). This would suggest that the M18 cut-out helmet did reach the battle front. Whadya think?

Very very nice finds Harvest. What i also think is very nice is that you sell them so people can share this extraordinary find. Cool. But what was that about it all had a bitter end?
