      Great to see . I really like the picture of troops in Scotland being presented to the King and Queen. Also the Scottish piper scene is wonderful.

      I can recommend the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw if you like artwork. They have some great painting on display.

      I believe that a few paintings like this are in the Sikosrski Institute in London.

      The piper painting has been reproduced in a number of publications.

      Thanks, the image is obviously one of those that reverts back to its original orientation when posted, my post wasn't showing at all when I logged out so I failed to spot the problem - there should also have been a scan of the description of the figures.

      I really enjoyed looking at these pictures.

      My father served in the Second Polish Corps British 8th Army. I am hoping to learn more about the Polish military from 1918 to 1945. Presently I am working on restoring two Gew 98 Mausers which had been left in Poland after the creation of the Polish state.
