Nahkampfspange Bronze
Good afternoon everybody, just picked up this Nahkampfspange in bronze by C F Junker. This is the first one I have ever bought, so looking for confirmation that it is genuine. I bought it from a reputable dealer, so can get a refund if necessary. The plate is magnetic. Many thanks in advance.
It looks to me like a "1st pattern" with flat wire catch but I am not expert enough to pronounce on the very obvious file marks around the edges which I wouldn't expect to such a degree on one of these. Also, what is the situation with the clasp which seems to have quite a pronounced build up of material around the base which looks like an old fashioned plumbers' repair on a lead pipe. The obverse seems to conform to the type though. Wait for the CCC specialists to chime in.
