Card or document bag in Strichtarn pattern 1

Hello,

I would like to show you to this card or document bag.
I have no information about the background. I haven't seen anything comparable yet.
I think it is a trial piece or a production from an army clothing depot (Appointment of an officer?).

The bag is made of fabric with the early "Strichtarn" pattern 1 around 1965 with a light beige base color. The workmanship is very good. Many details were considered and added.

Hi Sleepwalker, I found 2 interesting bags similar to your's in a certain way.


This bag appeared in an estate belonging to an officer in the People's Navy. He became a lieutenant in 1989 and left the force in 1990. At first we thought the part was privately manufactured, but we now know that these bags were manufactured in a small series for the listeners of the OHS of the Volksmarine in Stralsund. At some point it probably bothered the head of the facility that the officer trainees came to class with all sorts of private bags and pouches for the training documents. So this bag was created for everyone in a Volksmarine tailor shop. It has an inner compartment for several A4 staplers and smaller compartments for writing utensils.

A nice piece of evidence for the pragmatic use of disused BAs in the NVA. This “rebuilt” ex. Part 2 bag obviously served as a mail bag. What is interesting here are the GDR-typical fasteners, as we know them from camping backpacks, school bags, etc.

None of those bags are mine. I consult regularly a web site from a
German outdoor/fishing/hunting/army surplus store, they had the good idea of taking photos of the equipment that went trough their hands. Now they have many good references photos. Those 2 bags are part of those items. Here is the link:
