I.D. on these shoulder boards?

Article about: Good evening gents, does anybody know the identity of these shoulder boards? I've looked through my books and I can't see them anywhere. My only idea is that they may be East German police..

    Yes; East German Police is correct. They are for an Offiziersschüler im 2. Lehrjahr. [Officer Candidate in the second year of training.] See here for a rank insignia chart: http://www.phsb.eu/bilder/eff/eff08l.jpg
