KVP Leistungsabzeichen reproduction on sale.

Just a quick word to the wise for those looking to collect early DDR badges from KVP etc;

This has appeared on Ebay from a seller in Dresden.

It is an obvious copy if you know what a real one looks like and is openly declared as a repro so no offence there.

But, it is quite a reasonable copy so with a bit of wear and weathering to make it look as if it has age then the less well informed may fall foul of a dishonest or just ignorant seller in the future.

I haven't searched yet but where one badge is copied there will surely be others such as the DGP Leistungsabzeichen for example.

The Ebay pictures are not good enough to compare the font details etc but they might be inconsistent. I am debating buying one to directly compare unless anyone else already has one?

Keep your eyes open!
