    Hello everyone,

a small page on the Strichtarn combat uniform for women in the NVA. It should be noted that women were integrated into the armed forces of the DDR long before the Western countries. During reunification, no female soldier was taken up in the Bundeswehr because at the time, they were not yet part of the army.

Cor! You could drink your tea out of those, René..
And I thought my collection was eclectic. Is there nothing you haven’t got an example of, mate?

Thank you, Eschborn. I see a very nice thread developing here.

    good evening,
we can notice that there are two types of jackets: 3 and 4 buttons (without pocket).
It would be interesting to know the production dates.
I don't know yet if these are 2 different models, produced on the same date or a model that has evolved over time.

Ahh haven't played with these for years and are somewhere deep in my junk pile! but here is a pic of the 4 button NCO liner and as far as I can remember is it isn't marked, but probably 80's due to the blue buttons. I can't locate a picture of the officers one, but by memory it's late 80's.

Here's one surviving pic of the officer one, when I come across these again I'll have to remind myself to take new pics!
