evening paul ,thanks for the info on the bayonet fitment ,i trust your word ,because if anyone knows this km well its you i very nearly picked up some iraqi bayonets once ,but declined purely because of the crudeness of the example's i was offered ,well worn blades and what looked like home made wooden handles oh and a length of twine wrapped round , ive heard the russian bayonets are pretty much the same as east german apart from the colouration of the scabbard and grips ,thanks for your thoughts ,james
Hi James, the Iraqi bayo i have seems to be quite a well made item, it looks pretty much like the one posted by Kozowy but it's got the rubber insulated scabbard and some arabic stampings on the crossguard.
As you said though some of 'em are junk!...
Show and tell Gunny can we see your nice piece of Iraqi junk please .
Regards Mark K
Another 5 buckles couldn't resist these love the one with the hair stuck into the paint, that's a one off
That may be valuable as it may be a strand of Walter Ulbrichts beard from when he visited the Volks Koppelschlossfabrik!...
