Hi all - I am Richard Humby from Northern NSW in Australia - I was in the Army for a long time and have collected for many years. Currently, I am putting together a collection of the awards and distinctions of those countries that have fought the Russians - with apologies to those who might view this who are Russian (I learned the language as a boy because I was kicked out of French classes for sabotage!). I have discovered that some 20 countries have had uprisings, civil wars or outright conflicts with them, including the Finns, for whom I now have enormous respect. I also collect those awards, badges and orders of the Spanish Civil War, including a Nationalist Anti Tank Badge, convex construction with pin assembly, the research for which brought me to this site. My other militaria interests include Romanian orders, decorations, medals and badges; some interesting awards and badges from the Austrian Civil Wars (1918-1919 and 1934) and Weimar period medals commemorating the first Transatlantic Flight of the Bremen (von Hunefeldt I think). Well, that is about it and I would welcome friendly comment about some of the items that I would like to "show and tell" in this forum.

I am also a very good researcher so am happy to help out my new colleagues at this Forum.
