Greetings All. Need help in authenticating German Heer Buckle and Belt

Hello all.

Glad to be a part of the site. I have a keen interest in ancient Roman military items as well as WW2 German relics that stems back from my earliest elementary school days.

I was recently in Rome and purchased my 1st authentic ( I think) German Heer belt and buckle. I only came to these forums after i made the purchase. After perusing many "fake " threads my buckle doesn' t appear to have any obvious signs of forgery such as pigeon head or Batman . Would appreciate any opinions from the experts on the site. I cannot see any maker marks on the belt. "NOWA " is stamped under the roller bar on the underside of the buckle which I know is a known maker. Also a name is written in pen on the belt. It appears to be "Uffe B. Weg". Both the belt and buckle look heavily used and worn.Thanks for any and all help !

I would post this in the buckle section of the forum in a new thread where some of the best buckle collectors can provide you with an opinion.

For what it is worth I think it stands a very good chance at being original

Unfortunately, I am not an expert in authenticating, so I can't help in that regard. But, I will say that this seems to be a very cool buckle.
