    Hello all.

Glad to be a part of the site. I have a keen interest in ancient Roman military items as well as WW2 German relics that stems back from my earliest elementary school days.

I was recently in Rome and purchased my 1st authentic ( I think) German Heer belt and buckle. I only came to these forums after i made the purchase. After perusing many "fake " threads my buckle doesn' t appear to have any obvious signs of forgery such as pigeon head or Batman . Would appreciate any opinions from the experts on the site. I cannot see any maker marks on the belt. "NOWA " is stamped under the roller bar on the underside of the buckle which I know is a known maker. Also a name is written in pen on the belt. It appears to be "Uffe B. Weg". Both the belt and buckle look heavily used and worn. Thanks for any and all help !Greetings All. Need help in authenticating German Heer Buckle and BeltGreetings All. Welcome

I would post this in the buckle section of the forum in a new thread where some of the best buckle collectors can provide you with an opinion.

For what it is worth I think it stands a very good chance at being original
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

    Default Nice...

Unfortunately, I am not an expert in authenticating, so I can't help in that regard. But, I will say that this seems to be a very cool buckle.
