My great uncle is Harold Emerson Clarke. He was born on May 7, 1890, in Nobleboro, Maine. He is credited for creating a foot sizing apparatus, to process soldiers quickly. He also received a medal of honor for the US Government to doing so. I'm delighted to see a discussion thread for this apparatus. It brought me to this site.

This is my passion. The threads validate what he did. NoW, I'm searching the Internet for the medal he ACTUALLY got. I saw it once, and I should have copied the link. Maybe I'll find it, again, then place it here to help others. I was born Jo Clarke, his direct descent as a niece.
