Hello - thanks for adding me - found an interesting cap badge I a curious about

Glad to be here as I am collecting mostly WW era toys and military patches but running into many pins and insignia. Found an eagle on swas cap badge in a box of WWII stuff. It is metal (brass?) but unlike every other cap badge I have seen, it faces LEFT (instead of RIGHT). Is it fake? or just a variety? Any and all insights welcome. Thank You.
