Introduction
Looking forward to participating in several forum topics as I have had an interest in studying WW2 for more than fifty years. I have had the privilege of getting to know many veterans from the 75th Inf Div whose introduction to war in the European theater was in the freezing Ardenne at the end of 1944. Having only landed in France a few weeks earlier, my 20 year old dad and the other "kids" in the 75th saw their first combat on Christmas day (unknown to them until the 26th) while responding to Hitler's surprise assault westward into the Allied lines.
Thoroughly enjoyed accompanying my father on many annual 75th Div reunions around the country where I got to know and hear first hand accounts from these courageous veterans and Bulge-Busters. God bless these exceptional men and their families.

Hello BB,
Welcome to the forum,
You had a very unique experience with your Father and his service.
Not many vet's like to talk about their war time service.
But to be able to talk with members of the Greatest Generation . Priceless!
