Welcome to the forum. I've very sorry to hear about your friend. My condolences to you and his family. I'm newer to the forum, so I wouldn't have known him. Once your account is approved (it usually doesn't take long), then you can start another thread in the appropriate category for the jacket in the German Militaria section. I'm sure they'll be able to help you. There are some extremely knowledgeable members on the site. I suggest posting as many high-quality pictures as you can of the item.

Bob Coleman is indeed well known here. He was an invaluable asset to this forum, and is sorely missed.

Assuming the jacket is an item of combat uniform, this is the correct subforum to post it in: https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/heer-...s-third-reich/

Bob is surely well known, and sadly missed here.
Here is a thread with a visual guide to uploading photos to your post.

I actually suspect that your "jacket" may very well not be a combat tunic, if that is the case, you can post it in this section.

Bob was a great mentor and he held a wealth of knowledge and expertise..

He is greatly missed by those of us who knew him and corresponded with him.

Looking forward to seeing what Bob gave you..
