Peter J. Cashman
Hi All,
My name is Pete Cashman, I am 77 years of age and interested in history, especially military history.
My Father, also Pete Cashman b.1916 fought in North Africa and then Italy and fought at Monte Cassino, he ended the war in Austria.
He was with the Royal Engineers, 6th Armoured Division, 625 Field Squadron.
He Died in 1998.
My Grandfather Joseph Cashman b.1890 was also with the Royal Engineers, 416 F company fought in France in the first world war.
He died in 1972.
I have a polish cross (medal) with a Cassino Bar, numbered 48629 and have often wondered if the name of the recipient could be found.
Regards, Pete Cashman (BATH)

Welcome,
Post photos and whatever information you have in a new thread in the Polish section of the forum. I've linked it below
https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/polis...iej-1918-1939/
Or maybe it is this thread (I don't know these awards so don't know if a "Polish Cross with Monte Cassino bar" is a Monte Cassino Cross)
Monte Cassino cross
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them
