Hi

My name is Alan Chappell from Australia and 73 years old. I have anninsatiable interest in old hand tools, knives and now bayonets. I am a hobby bladesmith and make knives if many designs and Restore, renovate and remodel old knives. I have recently been asked by a friend to clean and Sharpen a bayonet that he presumed was issuec to his grandfather, a ww1 light horse veteran. The bayonet( as far as I can ascertain is for a Mauser shorT rifle) with makers mark CSZ E. Would love to get further details about its origin. The resesrch I have done so far s fascinating!
