    I quote Mr. Wilhelm Saris here:

    "There is a difference between Binder and Halsbinde.
    The various forms are described in the RZM manufacturing-regulations.
    So, there is for example the Druckknopfbinder (for politcal leaders);
    the Einheitsbinder for NSDAP and related organizations; SA-Binder
    and the Halsbinde for SA and political leaders (which is NOT a tie)".

    1936 RZM description of Herstellungsvorschrift für den geschlossenen SA.-Binder:

    Here is few examples of PL tie RZM tag:

    Accordin to Erich B., those fake ties has floating around 10-15 years.
    Okay, I have to take that into account then. You really never stop learning! Anyway, thanks for the hint! Despite this 'Halsbinde' is not a wrong word for 'tie'. It means 'tie' too, as 'Binder' and 'Krawatte' do.

    And you can say 'Schlips' for 'tie' as well!

    I just took some Pics of my ties. Two are obviosly faked "Halsbinde" (bought them from our Friend Helmut Weitze as 'authentic'), two are authentic, one says 'Vorschriftsmassiger Binder m. Kennkante f. politische Leiter u. DAF', the other one 'SA-Koper Binder mit Doppel Einlage'. One tie only has a completely faded tag on which you can no longer see anything, but which is the same size as the two authentic pieces, while the fake tags are slightly larger. Two other ties have no tags but look absolutely authentic and are believed to be early pieces or privately acquired.

    Too bad with those two, hope you get refund from Weitze.

    That SA tie is nice, rare to see SA-Koper Binder RZM tag.

    Nice Armband. Stamp on the Frontside says: "Bund der Frontsoldaten - Der Stahlhelm - Ortsgruppe Werner (Ems)'.
