Probably West-Wall or Siegfried line construction commemorative of some type.
A place to start looking anyhow. Whats the back look like?

I wouldn't think this is reproduction , it's not flashy enough and not enough swastikas all over it, lol.
This was a Huge construction project with many thousands of men working on it, I'm sure this is to commemorate service.
Could be RAD or Org.Todt related, but I'm not sure.

I consider the lack of swastikas a good sign as Fakers like to use them too excess.
Best of luck.

The closest thing I could find is a Maginot line cap badge. Perhaps this is related to the Maginot line and not a German item. NH

French, Belgium or even Czech origin is also a possibility as the 30's was a time of much fortification construction in Europe.

I cannot ID it, but the design doesn't strike me as German.
Also, we can rule out any connection to the Atlantikwall as well as to the Westwall by the 1935 - 1938 dates alone. Planning and construction of the former took place in 1942 to 1944 and of the latter in 1936 to 1940.
However, 1935 to 1938 neatly matches the construction of the Czechoslovak border fortifications against Nazi Germany, so I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with that.
