Fake medical insignia??

Hi guys,
I found this badge on the www. To me it looked good at first glance, but when I see the back I am not that positive anymore.
It looks like someone has taken a piece of buckram and slapped a piece of velvet on it.
The snake auflage and the kordel give it a nice genuine look. But I am not convinced.

Any other opinions on this badge?

P.S.: Bought a few duds the other day, maybe that makes me cynical and suspicious

I do not think it is a good one for the reasons you have mentioned. It just doesn't give any warm fuzzies.
