Feld-Gendarmerie armband

Not sure where to post this, if it’s in the wrong place can you relocate please.

I would like to know if this has any chance of being original, it’s not in my field of knowledge at all.
I’m looking at some other items for sale and this is included, and there is a good chance it will influence the price so it would be helpful for me to know if it’s good or bad.

From the searches I’ve done, only one other similar white armband has come up and it’s on eBay, construction isn’t as good but still a pretty big red flag. With the variety of green ones around it’s a minefield for the uneducated.

I think the stitching would have also stained the same as the armband if it was wartime manufacture, so in in my mind is not original.

The embroidery machine was having a bad day, all the letters are wonky!!

Not something any self respecting inspector would pass .... so a no from me too..

I agree, I think some of the variation is because of the way the material is laying, but the differences in the 4 letter 'e' are significant.

If nothing else this might help someone else in the future.
