    Default German pin Help Please

I picked this up but cannot find another example. The words on the badge are verband deutscher rundfunkteilnehmer aosaarev. I was able to get this from a wilki in German and then translated to English so I do not know what could have been lost in translation. Any help is appreciated.

The Reich Association of German Broadcasters e. V. (R. D. R.) was an interest group founded in 1930 and dissolved in 1936, which campaigned for a national socialist radio in Germany. Your association organ Der Deutsche Sender appeared weekly from January 1930 to July 1936.

I believe the badge is period correct and would not have much value but would like to label correctly.
    Thank you for looking.

From what I gathered this is a membership pin for the club or organization of radio owners which was rare at the time to own, the badge is also relatively uncommon.

    Hello John,
the badge is listed in the Husken catalogue. Catalogue number 7301.

    Reichsverband der Rundfunkteilnehmer (RDR).

The membership badge came in two sizes.

I like the stylised eagle at the top of the badge...really deco looking.

    All the best
    Doug

I believe the rare version of this pin has a swastika at the peak of the badge. The version shown is more common, I have one.

Now one with a swastika at the top sounds very interesting.

Do you have a picture of yours?

That would indeed be a rare example as I’ve never seen one.

    All the best

I’ve been researching these for a bit now but cannot find any examples showing one with a swastika.
